EXAMPLE TEXT RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL / WITHDRAWAL PERIOD It is mandatory to inform your customers of the right of withdrawal outside the general terms and conditions. Even if no right of withdrawal applies to your products, this must be stated. If you do not do this, the customer has the option to return free of charge no less than 12 months after purchase. What you should at least mention is: Does the right of withdrawal apply? For which products yes / no? How can the customer make use of his right of withdrawal? When does the right of withdrawal expire? That the entire order amount is refunded within 14 days after registering the return (this is required by law). Does the customer have to pay return costs himself? To meet these conditions, you can easily copy the standard text below to your webshop. Standard text reflection period The following text can be used in standard cases to inform your customer of his right to return: “You have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving any reason. After cancellation you have another 14 days to return your product. If you return the entire order, you will be credited with the full order amount including any shipping costs. If you return part of the order, any shipping costs will not be reimbursed. Only the costs for returning from your home to the webshop are for the account of the customer. These costs are approximately 6.95 per package, consult the website of your carrier for the exact rates. If you make use of your right of withdrawal, the product will be returned to the entrepreneur with all accessories supplied and - if reasonably possible - in its original condition and packaging. We will then refund the order amount due within 14 days after registering your return, provided that the product has already been returned in good order. " Exception customization Are your products excluded because you only sell custom products? Then you can point this out to your customer with the following text: “Products that you buy through this web store are custom made according to the specification you entered. The right of withdrawal is therefore not applicable. The sale is therefore final after successful payment. ” Exception sealed products You may seal products under certain circumstances, for example, products that cannot be returned after opening for hygienic reasons. These products can still be returned if the seal has not been broken: “You have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving any reason, provided that the seal has not been broken. When the seal is broken, your order is final and can no longer be returned. If you make use of your right of withdrawal, you have another 14 days after cancellation to return your product. If you return the entire order, you will be credited with the full order amount including any shipping costs. If you return part of the order, any shipping costs will not be reimbursed.
